Gn'R Alums Say Show No Big Deal
Just in case you doubted that much of Guns n' Roses would reform at this year's Slamdance film festival, we finally have the tape to prove it.

Snow-covered Park City, Utah became "Paradise City" in a way last week when guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Matt Sorum reunited for a special one-hour plus show at Slamdance, the grungy alternative to the glitzy Sundance Film Festival nearby.

The ex-Gunners (joined by Lanny Cordola, Chuck Wright, and Teddy Zigzag) didn't actually churn out any Guns n' Roses songs during their set, but did revisist Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door," a favorite cover during their Guns days.

The setlist isn't the only place that the trio tried to avoid the label of a Guns n' Roses reunion.

"Before we left, people were saying... it's on the Internet, it's in 'Variety' that Guns is back together to play," McKagan told MTV News.

"It's so blown up," Sorum added.

"And that's just like so far away from anything that's true," McKagan said. "We're just here to play. It's not that big of a deal, but we play good together."

As we first reported last month, Sorum composed the score for the Stephen Ho film "The Soundman" which debuted at Slamdance.

Meanwhile, Duff says the restructuring of Geffen Records has pushed back the release of his album "Beautiful Disease" to March. Slash also hopes to release a new solo effort before the end of the year.
