According to the official Rock In Rio - Lisbon site, tickets for the festival go on sale on March 1st.

Velvet Revolver and GN'R mentions on MTV.com's Most Anticipated Of '04:

But the biggest struggle might belong to Velvet Revolver — featuring ex-Guns N' Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum and former STP singer Scott Weiland — who are slated to release their debut as Weiland continues to receive help for his recurring drug addiction.

A few efforts remain forever in the "Will it ever happen?" category: Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy, for example. Word is the nearly-decade-in-the-making album will definitely come out in 2004. Definitely.

Here's the GN'R mention in the 2003 poll voted by Guitar World amagzine's readers:

----

The other big disappointments of the year were listed as "all new music," the break-up of Texas metal veterans Pantera, the continued absence of a new Guns 'N Roses album, and Marcos Curiel's departure from Christian rock band P.O.D.

VELVET REVOLVER are expected to return to the studio this weekend to re-record one of the songs slated for inclusion on the group's debut CD, an informed source has told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. It is believed that the track in question is being re-recorded at the insistence of vocalist Scott Weiland, who was reportedly unhappy with how the song turned out during the original recording sessions, which took place in the fall.
