GN'R mentions in Maxim and Q magazine + DVD update + Adler's Appetite in Germany
These GN'R mentions are from the January 2004 issue of Maxim magazine:

The 25 Greatest Bitchinest Metal Moments

15. Best Concert Ever: The ultimate double bill: Metallica and Guns N' Roses rocking Monteal in '92. But after a pyro mishap almost incinerated James Hetfield, Axl Rose feared that Guns N' Roses might get overshadowed. Unacceptable! So Axl stormed off the stage just minutes in GN'R's set. Angry Quepekers poured into le street and erupted into le violence.

4. Slash Solves His Drinking Problem: Saul Hudson (yes, that's his real name) actually hired a bodyguard specifically to carry him home when he passed out drunk. Way to think outside the box, Saul!"

There was another mention in the same magazine:

The Maxim Hot Zone:

Best Soap Opera: Guns N' Roses. In the past year or so, the Axl-led Guns N' Replacements started a tour, canceled it (inciting riots), and had music leaked by rock insider... Mike Piazza.

Meanwhile, Slash and others searched for a singer (all taped for a reality show, of course), before settling on ever-reliable Scott Weiland, who promptly got arrested on drug charges."

GN'R have two songs in Q Magazine's 1001 Best Songs Ever:

#764: Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle:
"I never felt at home in the jungle till this song came out."

Review by Homer Simpson:
'Why do you need new bands?', asks Homer, who somehow intercepted Q's call for 1001 top songs. 'Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974. It's a scientific fact.' Homer says he went to rock camp run by Elvis Costello, Tom Petty and The Rolling Stones. 'I thought Mick Jagger would be all, Oh, I'm a rock star,' he says. 'But he's just a normal guy like you or me, or Jesus.'

#034 - Best when things get messy: Guns N' Roses - Paradise City:
WHAT IT DOES: Takes feelgood stadium rock and batters it with paranoia. Swinging from blue-sky swagger to teeth-gritting snarl and back again, its schizoid head-charge is frenzied enough to make even the soundest mind think wearing leather trousers and a bandana is a good idea.
FACT: For all its drug-crazed mania, Paradise City, was recorded without their aid. Producer Mike Clink banned all drugs save for nicotine, coffee and Jack Daniels.
FILE WITH: Walk This Way by Aerosmith, Enter Sandman by Metallica."

DVD news:
