Sources: SCOTT WEILAND Caught Attempting To Smuggle Drugs Into Rehab
VELVET REVOLVER singer Scott Weiland has been placed on strict lockdown at the Pasadena, Ca. rehab facility where he is currently completing a six-month residential program after he was caught attempting to smuggle drugs into the center, informed sources have told BLABBERMOUTH.NET.

Weiland, who was allowed out for several days last month, under police supervision, to complete his vocals for VELVET REVOLVER's debut album, is believed to have one more song left to record for the as-yet-untitled CD, tentatively due in late March/early April through RCA Records.

The album, which was produced by Josh Abraham (LIMP BIZKIT, STAIND), is currently being mixed at a California studio by Andy Wallace, who has previously worked with NIRVANA, WHITE ZOMBIE, LINKIN PARK, SLAYER and SEPULTURA, among many others.

As previously reported, the former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS vocalist was scheduled to appear in court on December 3 on a DUI charge, but the hearing was moved to December 23. Weiland will enter a plea at that time to charges of driving under the influence of drugs. He was arrested on his birthday, October 27, after crashing his BMW into several parked cars on a Los Angeles street, then attempting to flee the scene.
