The 2002 MTV Video Music Awards has announced its first batch of performers and presenters for its Aug. 29 show at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

While the much rumored Guns N' Roses performance is not on that list (at least not yet), P. Diddy and Shakira are. On the presenters' side, Britney Spears, Elton John, Nelly, B2K, and Bow Wow will be handing out the moon men. More performers and presenters will be announced shortly.
