| Slash was unaware that the media had covered the Vegas incident so thoroughly. He had asked to be admitted quietly, after a song or two was completed, taken to a table and that's it.
More than one person at the Hard Rock Hotel had tried to help out. But as soon as Doug Goldstein (GN'R's manager) got wind of Slash wanting to attend, the announcement came that all former GN'R members would be denied admission. Anyone helping them see the show would be fired by Hard Rock.

In the January 2002 issue of Classic Rock, Slash confirms the fact that Snakepit is over. Slash will be doing a solo album with different styles of music.

In the same magazine there's a story about a Genesis album sleeve designed by Paul Whitehead. The article says:
'Whitehead is currently involved in a number of projects, including the intriguing possibility of creating the sleeve design for Guns N' Roses' long awaited and much-anticipated 'Chinese Democracy' album.
"I met just last week with [producer] Roy Thomas-Baker, so hopefully i'll be meeting again with Roy and Axl and it all gets tied up" he says'. |
