| ABC ePrep reports that VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash will be featured in upcoming TV ads for X Games 11, which will take place August 4-7 in Los Angeles. According to MTV News, Slash will be part of a choir that includes extreme sports stars, including Danny May and Dave Mirra.
According to Sp1at.com, a spokesperson for VELVET REVOLVER has confirmed that the band have recorded a new song for the "Fantastic Four" soundtrack. The film, which is about a group of astronauts who gain superpowers after exposure to cosmic radiation, is due for release in the U.S. on July 8. A trailer for the movie can be found at this location. The spokesperson also confirmed that VELVET REVOLVER will be releasing a live DVD this summer, although the release date is still to be confirmed.
