Matt Sorum Says Velvet Revolver Didn't Want To Release 'Dirty Little Thing' As Single
Launch Radio Networks reports: VELVET REVOLVER has a dirty little secret about its latest single, "Dirty Little Thing": the group members didn't want to release it as a single. In fact, the song's video, which depicts a train flying through the world and picking up people, was conceived for "Sucker Train Blues", which was the quintet's choice for its next single. Drummer Matt Sorum told Launch that they ultimately decided to stick with the video concept even though the record company picked a different song: "The original concept for that video was written for 'Sucker Train Blues'. We all wanted to put out 'Sucker Train Blues', but the label came back and said they wanted to do 'Dirty Little Thing'. Scott (Weiland) said 'Hey, why don't we use the same treatment, just use a different song?' "

Sorum said the group didn't yet know if it would eventually release "Sucker Train Blues" as a single. VELVET REVOLVER resumes its Electric Wonderland tour on April 12 in Chula Vista, California.
