This is from a news article about Gina Gershon:

Actress' album to feature all-star friends For her debut album, actress Gina Gershon has amassed a songwriting team that would be the envy of any rocker. The sultry star of Showgirls and Face/Off has been collaborating with Don Was, ex-Wire Train guitarist Kevin Hunter, hot songwriter and producer Linda Perry (Christina Aguilera, Pink), and her new pals Slash and Matt Sorum.

Gershon is also trying to arrange a songwriting session with Perry and Slash when she returns, in hopes of recording an original song for the Prey soundtrack. Gershon admits she's a bit spoiled, especially after jamming with ex-Guns n' Roses/current Velvet Revolver members Slash, Duff McKagan and Sorum at the Sundance Film Festival in January. "The movie's producer said I had to play the party at Sundance," she says, "and I wasn't about to do an acoustic solo thing. Slash said he was coming to see the movie, and then I ran into Matt, so it just kind of fell together."

Gershon led the band through Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" and the Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog." "I turn to my left and see Slash and think, 'Oh my God, I'm playing on stage with Slash. It was one of those weird out-of-body experiences: The first band I ever play with is Guns n' Gershon. It was so much fun. At this point, I'm just working on a movie so I can support my music habit."
