VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash recently revealed to Launch Radio Networks that "Dirty Little Thing", the third single from their platinum debut album, "Contraband", holds an interesting place in the band's brief history. "It's the only song on the record that was written even before (guitarist) Dave Kushner was in the band, so it's the oldest VELVET REVOLVER song," he said. "'Fall To Pieces' is the second oldest. (Guitarist) Keith Nelson from BUCKCHERRY was actually in the band at the time that that song was written, and he actually is a co-writer on it. It's a real in-your-face VELVET REVOLVER song."
"Contraband" will be re-released on Feb. 23 in the two-sided DualDisc format, in which one side is a CD and the other is a DVD. The DVD side will feature videos for the band's first two singles, "Slither" and "Fall To Pieces", along with photos and other materials. The album has also been remastered for the CD side. |
